Sports Cardiac Assessment
Has your child had a physical screening? How about a cardiac assessment? We now offer the service of cardiac assessments for ALL athletes. This service is a recommended pre-screening for athletes as young as 14 years old through adults before they participate in any sports.

The exam only takes 15 to 20 minute and can be very vital to their sports career.

Services provided are stroke assessments which are comprised of carotid ultrasound and Echocardiogram studies. Our team consist of echo vascular sonographer, a cardiologist and radiologist. Our board-certified doctors will read the exam and produce a report. *The cardiology services are contracted.

Stroke Screening
The technician will take temperature, blood pressure, check oxgen levels and take height and weight.
A Carotid ultrasound is a safe, and painless procedure that uses sound waves to examine the blood flow through the carotid arteries. This test is performed to Diagnose stenosis, to access Atherosclerotic plaque morphology and characteristics.
Echocardiogram
An echocardiogram (echo) is a graphic outline of the heart's movement. During an echo test, ultrasound is placed on your chest. This provides pictures of the heart's valves and chambers and helps the sonographer evaluate the pumping action of the heart. Echo is often combined with Doppler ultrasound and color Doppler to evaluate blood flow across the heart's valves.

This test is used to assess the overall function of your heart, determine the presence of heart disease, follow the progress of valve disease, and evaluate the effectiveness of medical or surgical treatments
